There was another Alfred R Green travelling to/from Bombay around that time.

This one in 1958 was born 1909, and was married to an Ethel. He was a works manager from St Helens, Lancs.

Going back to India?

No personal details on passenger list as it looks like the passage was booked but a line is drawn through his name and cancelled.

I don't see any likely death in London (or anywhere in England/Wales or Scotland) in that time period.

Perhaps he went abroad again, and died there?

Looks like Alfred probably died around 1949-50

Julia still at 34 Abingdon Road presumably with their two sons (under voting age )

The younger son also used his middle names on the shipping record.
First name was Sebald, as was his brother's.
Born 1936.

I won't post it, as I don't see his death anywhere.

Married in 1965 in Chelsea.


There appear to have been some younger siblings, born after the return from Burma. Possibly sisters, 1951 and 1954, and possibly two brothers, 1956 and 1958.

The younger son might have been born Edmonton reg 1936. It's on Freebmd

Julia seems to be on 1939 twice - once with Alfred as posted earlier, and again here, surrounded by lots of closed records, one of which might be Sebald Guy.

But same address ???

On the other record , posted earlier, her name is crossed out and it says "See page 13".

There's an earlier shipping list (1927) but returning from India while he was in the Army.

Many ex colonial officers, and others, returned to the former colonies in their old age. However,there doesn't seem to be a relevant death in the British Armed Forces And Overseas Deaths And Burials on FMP

EDIT - NO, I don't think this is him as there is a birth at the end of 1902 and also a marriage in 1927 that is probably this person.
