I wonder if anyone can help regarding a possible second marriage for the above.

Joseph was born in Preston Lancashire 9/08/1935 and died in Preston 24/11/2014.
He married Rita Farringdon in 1958. Rita was a widow having previously been married to Barry Farrington in Chorley 1954. Barry died in 1956. Rita’s maiden name was Hustings.
Joseph and Rita had 2 children. David John born 1958 and Stephen Joseph born 1959 .

In the obituary of Joseph in the Lancashire post it also said father of Christine but I can find no trace of her under the name of Bamford and I don’t think she was born to
Rita and Barry. I know Joseph was divorced from Rita and wondered if he married again although I can’t find a marriage.

In the obituary Christine was listed last so I thought if she was the daughter of Joseph and Rita she would be born after 1959. I don’t know when Joseph and Rita were divorced.

Maybe the informant could help with family info

From a Google search - Joseph's date of death was actually 24/11 /2013.

His siblings, to confirm (or not) the 1939 record (I haven't checked) -

"Brother of Betty (dec), John (dec), Harry, Jean (dec), Anne, Kathleen, Michael, Susan and Margaret."

A tree on Ancestry suggests Joseph has a daughter with another lady. The lady is private on the Ancestry tree, but as it gives the names of her parents, it is not hard to figure out her name.

The lady is likely still living- so I won't give full details, but her maiden name is Quick.

In January 2018 I asked for help finding the daughter of Joseph Bamford. Help was gratefully received. Now I wonder if I could ask for help with the wife of Joseph.

Rita his wife was born Rita Hustings in 1931. Chorley Lancashire and married Barry Farrington in 1954. Barry died in 1956 and they had no children so she went on to marry Joseph Bamford in 1958. They divorced but I’m not sure when but from there I think she married William Greenall in 1970 in Preston.
William Greenall was born about 1923 but I don’t know where. As William would now be almost 100 and Rita almost 90 is it possible for someone to look and see if they are still living?

If it’s the same lady she was still in Preston to 2016 with a Stephen Greenall

As they are listed from 2003 it’s likely she has now passed

I’m not sure that this is the same Rita. She didn’t have any children to her 1st husband but had 2 to her second husband, David and Stephen When she married in 1970 she would have been 41 so I don’t think she would have been able to have a further 8 children to William unless some were children of William before they met.

Stephen and Barry were HALF-brothers
