Member Since: November 2004 Posts: 2 Send Message	Mary was my husbands great grandmother. We have very little information regarding her. She had a sister Rose who married a Edward Johnson in Tunstall. Rose is believed to have been born in Ireland. Mary married Joseph Maddock in Tunstall and they had 2 daughters Laura and Alice. The marriage certificates show their father as Hugh Carr. Mary died at the age of 33 . Alice stayed with her father. It is not known what happened to Laura until she married briefly to Samuel Heward as she too died young leaving 2 small children. It is thought that she may have gone to Rose at some time. 	Do you have any Certs for Mary? If you do, what is her Father ,Hugh's, Occupation?

	A bit more info from Mary's marriage record : father's occupation - Stoker, Witnesses Edward & Rose Johnson. Rose's record gives father's occupation as Engine Stoker.

	There is tree on Ancestry which seems very well researched and has photos of Rose and Mary's daughters, Laura and Alice. POB for both Rose & Mary given as Ireland, but sources for that.
