You're right MargaretM, we do. However I think that it is probably the Arthur Batty whose parent's are John William and Mary Ann. |

But I still think that we need to know if Jane is looking for the one who married Emily Gray or the son of John William & Mary Ann. |

Jane, the question now is are you looking for the Arthur who married Emily Gray or the Arthur who was the son of John William & Mary Ann? They are 2 different people. |

I think this is more likely to be the marriage of the Arthur whose parents are John William and Mary Ann, although he shouldn't still be at home and single in the 1911 census????:- |

This is Arthur in the 1871 census (his parents are Henry and Sarah):- |

This is the Arthur and Emily who married in 1904 (seems to be a different one to the one with parents you give):- |

If this is the marriage you're talking about he's not the Arthur who is the son of John William & Mary Ann. |

Are you certain he married in 1904 - he would only have been 13 years old! |

If Arthur was born about 1891 then he can't have married in 1904 surely??? |

Please can someone see if they can find Arthur Batty and Emily batty on the 1911 census. They could be in Lincolnshire or Yorkshire. Sorry I know I am not being much help but I do not know anything about Emily and I only know that Arthur was born in Derythorpe, Lincolnshire, about 1891, |
