Irene Report 2 Nov 2015 00:22

I can't seem to find any information on a Peter Barraclough bn 1949 Nuneaton, Warks.
His father was Bryan Barraclough bn 21May 1926 Nuneaton, Warks. His mother was Gertrud P.Kionczyk bn 1928 Germany died 1950 aged 22yrs.
They were mrd in Nuneaton, Warks in 1948.
I know that Peter's father Bryan remarried in 1951, but i just can't find where Peter Barraclough went?
Kind Regards
Irene Wood.

where have you looked??

You should also be very wary of what you post on this site as Peter is probably still alive, and this is NOT a safe site.

JoonieCloonie Report 2 Nov 2015 01:24

if you search here

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

you will find there is no record of that birth

no Barraclough births that year in Nuneaton ... one registered in early 1950 that could be a birth in 1949, but the name is completely different with a different mother's surname (different marriage)

no Barraclough births with mother's name Kionczyk (if that was her first married name and not her birth name, e.g. if she was a widow, the mother's name would be different on the birth record)

something in your info seems to be not right!

do his younger half-siblings have any knowledge of him?

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 2 Nov 2015 01:29

where did you get the details from??

I may be being stupid, but I cannot find a Peter Barraclough with mmn Kionczyk on freebmd or on ancestry

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 2 Nov 2015 01:30

glad I'm not being super stupid!!!

Thanks Joonie!

pm from Irene ........

possibility that he was born in another country

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 2 Nov 2015 01:37

unfortunately, Bryan is deceased, and his second wife was last shown in a nursing home in 2009 on the electoral roll

search for her name here

http://www.freeelectoralroll.co.uk

so she has probably died since then (on line index only goes to 2007)

the address of the nursing home is in that listing so you could ask them to put you in touch with family if you are not in contact with Peter's half-siblings

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 2 Nov 2015 01:45

we are leapfrogging :-)

yes, that's the best possibility I think!

Irene, would you post messages here in the thread (unless they are sensitive) ... the 'Add your reply' box down at the bottom

can you give an idea of your connection with Peter? not in so many words necessarily, just are you family, friend ...?

Irene

Irene Report 2 Nov 2015 01:47

I got this information from a relative.
She says Bryan Barraclough was mrd in 1948 to Gertrude who sadly died after the birth of son Peter?

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 2 Nov 2015 01:53

one person at this site has Bryan in their tree, and 3 people have his second wife (year of birth a little variable)

2 of them have Gertrud(e) in their trees

are you in contact with them?

Irene

Irene Report 2 Nov 2015 02:08

Hi Jooniecloonie,
No, i am not in contact with them.

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 2 Nov 2015 02:16

well ... then go to 'search all member trees' when you click on Search at the top of your monitor

you need only put in Bryan's name and his second wife's name, and his first wife's surname, don't bother with dates and places, and you'll find them

then click on the 'find out more' button next to the tree owner's name to send a message

it will be up to you what you say, of course, but it's best to explain what your connection is and why you are looking for info

unfortunately many people do not keep their email addresses current at this site so they do not receive notice of messages sent to them

you can tell whether someone has read your message by going to your sent messages box, and if there is an envelope next to the message, it means it has not been read

good luck :-)

JoonieCloonie Report 2 Nov 2015 02:24

note, Peter's birth was indeed registered at a consulate in Germany

(findmypast has an index of those births)

middle initial R but no current electoral roll listing (the one there is, is the other person with the same name)

and no marriage or death recorded in England

is it possible he was adopted after his mother's death?

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 2 Nov 2015 04:20

I wondered about an adoption when I was unable to find his birth registration.

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 2 Nov 2015 04:51

if Irene would tell us something about her connection ... like, has she ever actually known him, and when last ... it might help

the birth reg does not give an actual date ...

Irene, would you at least say how you know of Peter?

Irene

Irene Report 3 Nov 2015 02:04

Hello JoonieCloonie,
Peter Barraclough was the son of Francis Reginald Barraclough bn 1901 Bedworth, Warks. His mother was Florence Bradbury, they mrd in 1925.
Francis Barraclough was my grandmother's (Christina Mabel Barraclough) brother.
I never met Peter or Francis.
Regards
Irene.

JoonieCloonie

JoonieCloonie Report 3 Nov 2015 04:21

what on earth?

in your first post, you said:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++
+++++++++++++++++++++++++

and now you have said something completely different.

ah .......... but did you mean ... BRYAN Barraclough was the son of Francis and Florence ...?

yes :-)

Births Sep 1926
Barraclough Bryan mother:Bradbury Nuneaton 6d 1009

So Bryan Barraclough, father of Peter was your parent's first cousin

and you share great-grandparents (parents of Francis and Christina) with Peter

I would certainly try to contact the various people who have Bryan and his second wife in their family trees here and ask whether they are in touch with the children of his second marriage, who would probably be the best people to ask about Peter

in fact one of those children is in a tree here as well

if you are having any trouble finding the names and birthdates at freebmd, let us know

for pity's sake, malyon, we all know this, it is the information given in the very first post in the thread

posting the record contributes nothing to this thread and it does not help Irene in any way to tell her things she knows
