Hope someone out there can help, I'm trying to trace my mums birth mother or anyone who maybe or knows someone related to a Violet Hawtree. I've tryed for years to find anything out but with know success I hope someone can help :-)

Hi not sure if this is the right person has on my mums birth certificate its say Violet Hawtree no middle names. Also on Birth certificate it say Violet lived at 1 golden square and worked has a munition worker in Preston and that my mum was born at Sharoe Green Martenity Home Fulwood. My mum was born on the 6th of May 1942 and was adopted on the 29th of April 1943 to a Lewis Arthur and Ella Henstridge.
I have found a Violet Hawtree who was Butler born in 1914 and married Edward Hawtree in 1931but having no luck find anything about this person any help or information would be very much appreciated thanks.

There's an article which could relate in the Lancashire Evening Post - Tuesday 04 July 1944 (I've pm'd it in case it is of interest to you).

Violet Hawtree 30- sentenced to 3 months hard labour. She had been going under an assumed name- Violet Johnson.

She was a married woman, but stated she was divorced from her husband- she had one child which was being adopted

There also another article on the same event but this states Violet was 28.

Violet was charged in Brinscall, but then moved to Kirkham- maybe an area she knew well? Was your mother's birth registered at Kirkam-in-Amounderness?

It would be a good idea to delete Violet born 1901 from your tree.

It obviously isn't the right woman, and it will mislead people who may be looking for tree info

The marriage between Edward Hawtree and Violet Butler produced several children, in the area in which the marriage occurred.

This man was busy - married three times........the second time in the same qtr as the birth of the last Hawtree/Butler child
