	13th Dec 1840, aboard the Orient, 27 & 20 year old Ireland born sisters, Maria & Harriet Kidd arrive in Port Phillip, noted as Protestant. Also aboard is their 18 year old brother John ( though noted R.C., he was P.). Their Mother, 1791 Jane Ann Kidd ( nee Thorpe) is also thought to have accompanied them ( by her Death Cert details ) but no passenger listing seen as yet.. This then, is the only record I've seen of Harriet & Maria.. they seem to disappear post their arrival yet brother John 'squatted', farmed at Bass river, was a Councillor, and his mother, by her Death Cert seems to have been living with him.. This same D.C., of 1873, notes that daughters Harriet & Maria are dead but no indication as to when.. searched the Victorian BMD's didn't see them there either. If any one spots Harriet or Maria, would be most appreciative of such detail.. Thanks.
