Sally, why not add this request to that other thread? It will then move up to the first page. It doesn't really matter if it's different type of info you're looking for.

If you do that then I'd be happy to look in the British Newspaper Archives.

Try contacting the local newspaper to see if they have copies of 1945 editions in their archive:

Eastbourne Herald, Berkeley House, 26 Gildredge Road,
Eastbourne, East Sussex BN21 4SA. Telephone 01323 414488

Ditto for Uckfield Express and 1949 editions:

Sussex Express
Temple House,

East Sussex

Researching:

Hi all,

I am trying to find if there is a write up for a wedding in Eastbourne in 1945, also a death in Uckfield Sussex 1949.
I was looking for info re someone else and some very kind people sent me the write ups in that paper.
Would anyone be able to help, either to say where to look or with info.
As I have this person on another link I don't want to get told off, it is difficult when it is different info needed, I will add the name if anyone can help.
