Can anyone help me solve the following:
Elizabeth Howard born 1837 in either Nottinghamshire or Leicestershire was married to William Holwell born 1836 died 1868 they had 4 children but after he died I can only trace a Betsy Holwell with 4 same named children in the 1871 Census after that nothing do you think Betsy and Elizabeth are the same person if so where was she after that and when did she die

Betsy was a commonly-used diminutive for Elizabeth as well as being a name in its own right

Look for a death for her on freebmd.................

Or look for a re-marriage
