I don't think that the 1850 marriage is your family Caroline. |

I don't think that's my George and Elizabeth. I have nothing anywhere with children called Lucy or Sophia. |

That's a question indeed! |

Right, I think this is the George and Elizabeth that married in 1850. |

Yes, I agree is VERY confusing! Especially as George Read/Reed is a cousin of the Scarrs!! |

Not wanting to put a spanner in the works but ... the census details given in the first post do not match the couple's details given in the marriage of 24 Jun 1850 of George Reed and Elizabeth Scarr nee Allison as the ages (and groom's occupation) are different. |

This might be of interest as the witnesses were George Frederick Reed (who signed) and Elizabeth Lucy Reed (who made her mark) |

Lol, think I'm confused Dea, wasn't sure that 1850 Marriage posted went with the census images?... |

Dea | Report | 15 Jan 2013 13:08 |
Isn't her maiden name 'Allison' ?? - Or have I got confused too ?? ;-) |

Not wishing to confuse you, (replies on 'Threads' do need a bit of digesting!), or repeat info. previously given, but given the surname, and it's variants, looks as though it could prove tricky finding correct Marriage without maiden name of Elizabeth... |
