Robert Stephens davis was married twice ELIZABETH BELLAMY in 1793 and to ANN BUTLER Married 1815. Bit of information i found below:

Robert Stevens Davis did not marry Ann Butler until he was about 60 years old and they had 5 children. He is shown on Parish records as a surgeon and apothecary. She was 31 years younger than him.

I was able to find a reference to Robert Stephen DAVIS having an apprentice named Nicholas Bastard AVENT in 1788 in the town of Fowey in Cornwall and he listed as a Surgeon and Apocathery. RSD was in a surgeon/apothecary practice with Robert Stephens in Fowey in the 1780s.

Dr Robert Stevens Davis lived at Northbrook House, 18 Gilbert Road, Swanage. It was a farmhouse and is now occupied by Richard Lane outer wall saying 1829 Ann Warren and a stone tablet saying 1709 BA.


In 1799 Robert was prosecuted for a debt of £20 by John Lacy for "Goods, wares and merchandizes". He was sent to prison in Poole in July 1799.

I cant find a concrete birt and death date for Robert Stephen Davis and Robert davis

i possibly have Robert ( father of Robert Stephen DAVIS) davis bap date of 29 Jan 1722

Unless Robert (Stephens) Davis married late in life, I think you may be missing a generation or three.

Would suggest this Robert could have married early 1770's who could then have had a child ?Robert Stephens Davis - old enough to be married in 1815 - Stephens perhaps taken from mmn?

could any one help, im trying to find details for ROBERT STEPHENS DAVIS who was married to ANN BUTLER they married 5 sept 1815 in Swanage.

Robert Stephens Davis father was ROBERT DAVIS and married to JOYCE SMITH in 1743.

im confused as to when ROBERT DAVIS was born and died can anyone help. I believe he was born and died in Dorset.
