My cousin has an ancestor - Sarah Elizabeth Blaylock b. 1896 Flimby, Cumberland. She is the daughter of Mason and Jane Blaylock. In 1922 - after the family had moved to Northumberland - she married an Alexander Errel. Well I have searched both Freebmd and Ancestry to find the births of any Errel/Blaylock in Northumberland to establish what children they may have had. Not one solitary Blaylock/Errel birth appeared. I find this most unusual. Either they both emigrated or died before a family was produced. A new experience for me !! |

Childless couples are very common. No infertilty treatment back then. |

But if Sarah was an ancestor of your cousin she must have had at least one child. From which child does your cousin descend? |

You wonderful people. I only fleetingly considered emigration - that side of the family wasn't the most adventurous. Really am grateful to you all. |

They are buried in Wonthaggi Cemetery - the reference number starting with w indicates that there is a photo of a headstone available |
