The Andrews Sisters

Peter Report 29 Dec 2012 20:53

Hi again,

My ancestor Martha Andrews (c.1815-1890) placed her date of birth as Walton, Cheshire/Lancashire.

I have since found a baptism for her which states her abode as being Over Walton, in the Daresbury Parish, Cheshire (which is on the Wirral, so close to the old Lancashire/Chester bounday). She was baptised in 1808.

I have a lot of information on her family but I am looking for help in search for two sisters:

Ann, born 1806
Elizabeth, born 1816 (both in Walton, Daresbury, Cheshire).

Their parents where:

William Andrews (c. 1787-1831)
Betty Gleave (1783-1829)

Their dates of death are from their possible burials in Daresbury.

Your help is appreciated,

Thanks,

Peter

Oh you have been very busy!

Well thank you - immediatley you have found more distant aunts and uncles which I have missed!

Now I think you may have found Ann in 1841 - Great Budworth is where Martha Andrews married in 1834. I am sorry for not mentioning it. I only checked just then.

Now, I had taken Martha's baptism as the one in 1808 as her ages fluctuated somewhat dramatically in the census ... it varied a lot from 1806-1816, and she died in 1890 aged apparently 75. So with this, and the fact she was born in Walton, Cheshire/Lancashire (county change also), I decided that the 1808 baptism seemed to fit as it was also close to the old border.

What do you think? I am happy to be corrected and would prefere to have accurate research.

Also, RE a possible remarriage. I have no idea at yet! But I am interested to find out more.

Thank you.
