I am currently looking for information on my fathers family and am concentrating on my Grandmothers side but i have hit a problem as one moved country.

My Grandmothers brother Merrrix McConnell born 1927 in Donegal, Ireland moved to Scotland and i haven't been able to get much information on his family. i know he married a Florence Elizabeth Wilkie but i do not know if this was before he moved to Scotland or not and that he either had 3/4 children and possibly died in 1959. would anyone have any ideas where i could start looking for information to fill in the gaps in my grandmother'7's (now deceased) family tree.

There are also brothers and sisters who remained in ireland which i cant find any information on either if anyone has any suggestions where i could look for the latest generations of the family
