Harriet M A Lane married Edward Fox, they are James Owen Fox's parents...Amelia's grandparents.

It seems unlikely Emily is Amelia's mother, though it is odd if he was not married to her mother for him to have given her his surname (and cared for her, as seen in 1901 Census).

I suspect Amelia's mother died when Amelia was a baby. The birth certificate would reveal more (as well as Amelia's mother's name, it will also state mother as deceased if she died during childbirth).

HI thank you for the info , i spent most the day trying to find edward fox and elizabeth mary ann birth and death. i just can not find them, i tryed pallards, and bmd, if you can give me them. i may try and get some where, yvonne.
