I have just found an Australian website 'Foundersandsurvivors.org' which is trying to follow up what happened to convicts sent to Tasmania. If you have any such convicts in your tree please help by supplying them with any information you may have. You need to go on to the site to register using a username and valid email address. You are then sent a link where you supply a password and nearest location (London for UK ). If your application is approved you get an email and can then search for your convict/s. You can then add any family details you may have and information about what happened to them after their release. You can also access their convict records through this site. |
