Thanks Quoy, looks good. I know John never married and he seemed to live with various members of family as he became blind and was a basket maker.
I wonder what happened to his parents. Could you perhaps check 1861 Census to see if Mary (Maria) and John are still around please. I Know Maria was bap. as Maria Lewis at St.Elli, Llanelly 6th April 1800 and married 20th March 1820 at Llanelly Parish Church. I think St.Elli.
Since checked dates of birth of parents - cannot be them.

Do you have Johns birth certificate to check his fathers occupation?

Hi, Firstly the marriage is correct. I have found on Freebmd a death of Maria Morris June Qrt, 1841 so Mother of John would not be on Census as 1841 Census was taken in June.
Secondlly there are also quite a few deaths of John Morris (Father) so he may not be on Census.
John the son may be on 1841 Census twice as have found from info. previously given a family looking after four Morris children. William Williams 1806 and Margaret Williams 1811 living at Llannon, Llanelly.This could be Maria's sister.
Also 1841 Census has a John Morris b. 1839 living with several of Bowen family also at Llannon. Bowen a family name.

Have known double entries on Census.

Quite a tangle but taking advantage of free 1911 Census have found John Morris Age 73 b.1838 as Wife's Uncle which all works out.
My quest now is to find out what happened to rest of children :- Frances b.1831,
Jane b.1834 Mary b. 1836 Margaret b. 1838.
These births seem a long time after marriage unless there are more older children but Maria would have been 39yrs old when John born 1839 so probably large family which was very normal at that time.
Any help to find the children would be appreciated.

Sorry no I have'nt. Difficult to find correct one, unless I can find a baptism. I will go on searching, Curiosity more than anything. His Mother Maria was my Grt.Grt.Grandmother Jane's sister so just filling in family but like to get facts right.Thank you for your help.
