Why don't you get your sister in law to buy her mother's birth cert?

For the sake of £9.25, she can have factual info about the names of her grandparents

No real progress can be made until those details are known.

When they are, you can look for their deaths....................

Howard Chamberlain's birth seems to have been in 1948 also...........

Find it on freebmd ...........and research the names..although one assumes your sister in law knows about her father's line

His parents married in 1939

ErikaH Report 5 Nov 2012 17:10

I'm afraid you'll need the birth cert.............there is no record on freebmd of a marriage for the parents with surnames matching those on the birth reg'n

Frances appears to have had a brother..............I'm going to let you find the info yourself........much more satisfactory for you.

Although, as he died in infancy, there is no point in trying to trace him

Forenames in different order on death reg

England & Wales, Death Index: 1916-2006

Name: Vera Susan F Chamberlain
Birth Date: 6 Apr 1947
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1982
Age at Death: 34
Registration district: Basford

.......but the birth has Frances as the first name

The full names of her parents will be recorded on her birth cert

You should look for info on freebmd..............

What are you 'new' to, Gemma?

Was Hyman the name at death? Or the maiden name? Or both?

And where in the world does this relate to?
