I have come to a complete stop. I am searching for my uncle's military record. He was born in 1902 Sheffield and he is shown in an unnamed and undated photo as a signaler with two good conduct stripes. He did reach the rank of lance corporal during his service. I have tried to search on the military records but failed most miserably. Can any one out there guide me as to where I should go next? He may have been in one of the Yorkshire, mid wars, regiments. |

If his service was after 1920 ish, then there is nothing in the public domain, these records are still held by the MOD.To obtain these records you have to be NOK or have permission from which has to be proven |
