Thank you Margee, I'm very grateful for the information.

I have the history of this family before and after their emigration so this information completes the story.

Would it be possible for someone to look up the entry c. 1869 for:

Thos (Thomas) Saxelby Chapman

Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935

I know he was married to Eleanor/Ellen Hughes in 1868 so would expect her to be with him and possibly a baby daughter Dora. I believe Dora was born in Lancashire in 1869, rather than Illinois where they ended up, and her birth registered in Chorlton so would like to know the date of emigration.

Dora Ada Chapman
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1869
Registration district: Chorlton
Inferred County: Lancashire
Volume: 8c
Page: 636

The USA 1880 census lists her as being born in Illinois so the passenger list might give the answer.

Thank you in advance if you can help.
