Thanks Choccy, Im not sure it was a man and the name Jeanette keeps popping into my head?

There is a tree who has Les* Cave on here, tree owner Jeanette, I might drop her a line and see if it was her.

Thanks for looking

After 'googling' I found someone calling himself 'TheBotanical' on the following site -

http://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk

posting the following question in December 2011

'I have been looking for quite a while now for any images of my Great-Grandfather who served in the Sheffield City Battalion. He was Leslie Fred Silas Cave, he was KIA in Arras, 18 May 1917. I have an original letter froma Corporal Lacey informing his Mother of his death but that is all. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have never seen what he looks like'

He looks as though he is a current member of the site.

Could it be him?

Thanks Stuart

I did look at those posted by Mark but as it was 2007, I discounted them and I didnt post on them either

I presume the person I was trying to help must have deleted? Shame because they were desperate for a photo :-(

This chap has a couple of threads back in 2006/7, would it be too much of a coincidence that it was the same man this year?? You may well have found them yourself and discounted them, but can't find anything more recent

I was helping a poster with the above man back in March this year.

I contacted a tree owner (on their behalf) at Ancestry as they had the same person in their tree. This person has now got back to me with this link to a photo

My problem is, Ive slept since March and I cant remember who the heck I was helping!

Cant find the post in my threads and I cant seem to find the thread on a search :-S
