To be honest it is his first name Wardell that was the main draw as he is not the direct line I am tracing but, never the less, all the additional snippets bring the family more to life.

I have been looking in Family Search and found more of the Jackson family c.1815 with their parents Michael and Elizabeth Jackson. I have been unable to find a marriage for them but Elizabeth does show up in the 1841 and 1851 census. I just wondered if she is living with any of her children, as a granny, in 1851 please?
