Hi i am trying to find the birth record for William Hartill born 1st Oct 1922 Coseley. Which is West Midlands but I believe it was classed as Worcester then?? I want to trace his parents names. He had a brother named John and a sister named Kitty. Help appreciated thanks.

Did you get his birth date from the death certificate? It may not be correct, depends how much the informant knew when registering it

He also might have been born out of marriage so his birth name may have been different

Do you know if he married?

Do you know if Kitty was just a 'pet' name, and she was actually Catherine or similar?

My friend at work asked me to look into it she said he was born Coseley and she said he does not have a middle name. He wed Sarah Ann Jones April Q 1949 Wolverhampton. My friend asked me to look into it for her as she wanted to do her tree but did not know how to start. I think Kitty was a nickname I am assuming her real name was Katherine??

So her best bet is to get the marriage cert for his dads name

yes thats what i was thinking. There comes a point when you have to start spending money to carry on with your tree thats when some people lose interest! lol
