I thought Esther had been married twice because of the jump in births between Abel and Robert .I didn't realise she had the boys while she was unmarried .

I have an Abel marsh on the 1861 census .He was born 1849 in Atherton lancashire .His father was my G/G/G/grandfathers brother .His father was Edward marsh and mother Esther .
I have searched everywhere for Abel on other census and trees but nothing .
If anyone has heard of him or perhaps Abel is short for another name .I would be gratefull for any help.
