Taken from Anc

I have no information, i dont think, that you probably havent got already. I have their 3 children born at Marton cum Moxby Hannah, Thomas and Elizabeth. I have nothing for a Alexander born around 1752 which I think is his DOB going by his age of death ,76 at Bubwith.in 1828. 3 of the the other Alexander Blakey marriages prior to this are in Durham, northumberland. All other Like names Of Alexander Blakey, birth or marriage are in Scotland. This info is off the IGI. Sorry I couldnt help further. If my maths is correct he then married at the age of 30 to Jane Cass, which is quite late in life. This may indicate that he had married before. Does the the original parish register say that he was a widow? The marriage for Alexander Blakey in Brancepeth,Duram to Jane Reed in 1773 would make him 21 if the same person? The original info on 1 or both of these may help you out. Its just a hunch. If you still require the Excel sheet you are quite welcome to it. Just email me at my home addy on initial message
regards
Simon

Hello Mike, many thanks for the info. your last remark is the delema I find myself in, My family history starts with the marriage of Alexander to Jane Cass in 1782at marton -cum-moxby. did his 1st wife jane Reed die between 1773to 1782 this I cannot find, so I'm afraid this may be my brick wall.
Many thanks GABlakey
