Yes maddie it is..Elizabeth Brindley was born at Alstonfield...I have two distinct sets of children for Charles and Mary..and Charles and Elizabeth..some of them overlapping..some of the same name......but no children in either marriage show the same year of birth...........hence a vague suspicion of bigamy!!

Hello SAFC..thank you for the input..both sites look impressive..except that I have the parish records for both Longford and for Sutton on the Hill..and there is no Charles Gregson 1729....all refernces to Charles gregson on any site i have seen simply do not give any substantiation for his birth...
Particularly as Charles Gregson married Ann Johnson at Etwall 1736!!!

Hello Maddie...........allegedly Charles 1729 married Mary Longdale(Langdale) in 1761........allegedly Charles 1744 married Elizabeth brindley in 1768 (or \mary Longdale!!!).BUT.CHARLES GREGSON 1763 is indisputably the son of Charles and Mary...five years before Charles and Elizabeth were married.....

Here is your so-called Derbyshire expert pleading for help!!
Can anyone find the above CHARLES GREGSON c1729 Derbyshire........not 1696 not 1744..just a couple of years either side of 1729.
Ancestry have a ridiculous mish mash of two different Charles' (1729 and 1744)..same (or different!) parents`..same death date...same (or different wives)...without at any time substantiating that Charles 1729 ever existed.

I have researched thoroughly Charles 1744.....son of henry and mary..
but who was Charles 1729???????
Can anyone help???? Pretty please....

Derek.
