Sandra,
Scots Origins was always run by the LDS
The site was closed shortly after all the info was transferred onto the New Family Search.
I agree with you, it was much easier to navigate but I doubt if it will ever be back.

It was a free site (Scots Origins - Specialists in Scottish Genealogy)

I thought someone might know why its changed and been taken over by
Family Search
A service provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Dont know the site you mention Is it maybe Scotlands People which is a pay to view site with Scottish BMD,s.

That site is still going strong :-D

Does anyone know if the the Scots Origin site is no more now, or will it come back?

I tried to get on it but it took me to the family search site which is just not the same
