Hello Everybody,
I am looking for GEORGE ROBERT TUCK born 1866 India, when his father also GEORGE ROBERT TUCK left the Army the family settled at Kinsale County Cork, GEORGE (1866) enlisted in the Royal Inniskillin Fusiliers in 1894, he was discharged at Dublin 16-10-1906. I cannot find any trace of him after that date and he is not on the 1911 Irish of British census, I was therefore wondering if he had died or maybe he emigrated between 1906-1911. If there is any other person researching this man or can help in any way would they kindly get in touch, thank you.

This is a bit confusing because the information that you have sent is very close, my GEORGE ROBERT TUCK was born 1866 at Deesa India, his parents were GEORGE ROBERT TUCK b. 1835 Suffolk and his mother was SARAH ANN nee WHYTE, his sisters were MARIANN & CHARLOTTE. The Army information that you found is correct.

From the marriage that Choccy quoted, George Robert Tuck's birthplace is East India (not Galicia). He is a widower. Occupation farmer.
It is definitely 45, so younger than his bride, so why lie if really 1866?

Yes I have searched both the Irish & English 1911 census without luck so I concluded that he either died or emigrated between 1906 & 1911.
GEORGE ROBERT TUCK (senior) was born Ipswich Suffolk 1835 the son of JOSEPH & ELIZABETH.
