Find Ancestors

Hi,

I am attempting to trace my maternal line; have so far gotten back as far as Elizabeth Chance, born in 1754 in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England. Her father was Danile Chance, however, I have been unable to locate a marriag for him, meaning that I unable to discover who Elizabeth's mother was, further meaning that my maternal line currently stops at this lady!

Does nayone know how I may go about locating this marriage? I have the parish registers for Pontefract, but evidently they do not appear to have married there.

This chistening record is the record for Daniel, his parents were Daniel Chance and Ann Ramsden - I'm just finding it so frustrating that I can't find his marriage!

Did Elizabeth have any siblings ?

Hi there,

Elizabeth's siblings were Ann 1752, Hannah 1756, Sarah 1759, Mary 1761-1764, and Frances/Fanny 1763-1764.

2 trees on Ancestry show her as Hannah no DOB, who died Dec 21 1763 Featherstone Yorks - no maiden name ,sorry
