Find Ancestors

Morning everyone,

I hoping there maybe someone out there who lives near the following cemetry,
great Grandma is buried and the plot number Wigan Cemetery (at Lower Ince

(not expecting there to be) but if there is would you mind snapping a picture for me? or if there are a church record would you be able to snap it?
I am asking a big favour as I dont live near Wigan but alot further south.

oops - realise you have the info - sorry :-)

The cemetery should be able to tell you what type of grave it is ie Public or private.

I have found even when having a grave ref its very difficult to find them as most cemetery plots/rows arent marked up by refs

The records would indicate this was a public grave, which was not unusual for the time, so there will not be a headstone I'm afraid. There were 15 burials in the plot.

Frank was a widower, Mary was already dead when the census was taken. Her maiden name, according to Ellen's birth in Wigan on lancashirebmd, was Podenskey. Unfortunately the mmn was not registered for William (1897) and Victoria (1896), their births were in Manchester and the mmn has not been added.

All the rest of the family and their lodgers were born Poland. I wonder if any of them actually started life under the name Miller?

There's a tree on A* with quite a lot of backup info, according to that Frank was originally called Mincyinskas and his death registered in Glasgow in 1926, the tree has a copy of the death registration stating Frank Miller, formerly Mincyinskas. If you don't have access let me know & I'll PM a copy of the register.

The tree also says the older children were Mary's children, not Frank's, but for some reason the tree owner seems to think the younger children were born in Northumberland.

On the A site its mine hehehee i must have put in the wrong info on frank and mary's russian kids.
will have to change that..
On Williams birth cert it gives mother as Maryann Yakob, same adress as
Victoria, mother name Podensky, ellen, mother name podensky.

nah they didnt start out as MILLER only found out their real names when i got the birth certs for Nan ellen and william and victoria. then find more different names hehehe
would love to find out where they were realy from which could now be Lithuania?
