Since you know your relatives address, you could ask for them to be looked up at the Archive/Library, and ask for the names in the neighbouring households.

They might make a charge.

Those records wont be online you would need the electoral roll for the area BUT I think they arent searchable by name only by address which doent help

If this is your husbands relative then she and her husband may well have stayed in Bilston. Bilston comes within the Wolverhampton registration district.

As far as finding out where they were living from 1937~1948 only the electoral register might be able to tell you that but there are snags. No electoral registers were compiled during WW2 (1939~1945), Old electoral registers are generally not online. Old ER's can only be searched by address, not name.

Copies of old ER's are usually available in the main public library or archive office in the area the ER covered.

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

Hello all!!,

Just wandering if someone out there has the means of finding where a couple is living around 1937/48. Please!

Only i have just come across my Husbands relative Ivy M Cheshire who married a Leonard Boswell in Bilston staffs 1937.

Which surprised me!!, only i have relatives who died at 10 chantry crescent Bilston in 1948 and thier neighbours were named Boswell,s.

I do know that Ivy did live in the Lunt area of Bilston before marriage, so it is likely it is them or maybe a relative of thiers living next door to my relatives.

would love to find this out if at all possible .
