KDB Report 17 Oct 2012 20:52

I am looking for my Great Grandmother Ann Sophia Foster born in Hull in 1852. Prior to marrying my Great Grandfather (Thomas Rogers 1848) she had previously been married to Nicholas Foot and had two children to the marriage, James Foot (1872) and Alice Foot (1876). At the time of marrying my Great Grandfather in 1882 Ann was known as Ann Sophia Foot. My Grandfather had 4 children with Ann, Thomas (1882), Margaret (1887) Florence (1888) and Dennis (1886). I can find nothing prior to Ann marrying Nicholas Foot-Can anyone help please?

Melanie you already have a thread about these people.
You're supposed to stick to one post per family, otherwise things get duplicated and confusing.

Correct age but incorrect spelling of surname. Something to consider-thank you.

patchem

patchem Report 17 Oct 2012 21:40

It is not necessarily incorrect spelling of surname - it is how it has been interpreted, and others think it should read as Foster which is why that correction has been added.

The Emily in the 1861 census?? Jane, the mother in 1861, is born in Middlesex and is a widow.

KDB Report 19 Oct 2012 12:47

Yes. I don't understand the difference in the Mother's name, from Charlotte to Jane, perhaps a re-marraige.
