Hi Stuart. Thanks for your reply. I checkedGRO. My Edward Hogan, was not in the Army. On daughter Mary Hogan, Wedding certificat in 1940, at Bucklow,Cheshire. Lists Father as Edward Hogan, Deceased. Occupation Stoker, in Royal Navy. I will keep looking. Peter.

Hi Astra. Checked your reply. This is not my Edward Hogan. Mine Born 1887, at Wigan, Lancashire, not Bangor, Wales. At Daughter Mary Hogan, wedding in 1940, at Bucklow,Cheshire,. Marriage Certificate lists Father Edward Hogan, Deceased, Occupation Stoker, in Royal Navy. Thanks anyway. I will keep looking. Peter.

When looking for deaths of males during the years of either of the World Wars, always check CWGC site..............and, indeed, females in WW2, as civilian WW2 War deaths are recorded on the site

looking for information. Edward Hogan.Born about 1877,at Wigan, Lancashire, England. About 1910 Married Louisa Jane Maloney, at Wigan.Two Children Thomas Hogan.Born 1910, and Mary Hogan.Born 1918.1911 Census Edward. Age 24. Coal Miner. Wife Louisa Jane Hogan.Age24. Son Thomas.Age 1. Living at 68 Upper Morris Street, Wigan.Reported Edward Died between 1918, and 1921, at either Wigan, or Burnley,Lancashire.(Possible died in WW1, in 1918.Private in R.W.F. number 265816. (V1.28-P196).Unable to find Record of his Death, between 1918, and 1922. Any suggestions to help. Peter. :-(
