Find Ancestors

Help, I cannot find anything more for my great grandfather .
I have the following information from the 1911 Census:
John J Etheridge born @ 1883 in Sheffield and that he lived in Birkenhead with his wife Margaret (nee Crawford they married in 1905 in Liverpool).
2 children: Nellie age 5 born @ 1906 in Birkenhead and Joseph age 2 born in 1909 in Birkenhead (my grandad but I knew him as John Joseph).
I do know that my great grandad married twice and think Margaret was his first wife.
I have tried all leads and cannot get anywhere, any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Possibly the 1928 marriage to Margaret A Evans is John Joseph senior, and the 1934 marriage to Jessie was John Joseph junior? Would need Carole to confirm if the latter marriage was that of her grandparents.

Thank you everyone for your prompt replies and information. Now to work my way through all this information.
Just to confirm, my grandparents where married in 1934 John J Etheridge & Jessie Mckay, again thank you and if anyone has any more information I will be very grateful.

I do believe that my great grandfather married twice, once to Margaret Crawford, my grandads mother and at some stage later as my grandad had at least one half sister.

What was the name of the half sister - it will give a mmn & make it easier to locate the correct marriage?

My grandad had a half sister called Doris and a half brother called Alan. rumour has it in the family that John Snr married his wife's cousin also called Margaret Crawford.

I would also like help if anyone has access to Scottish records for William Mckay sometimes spelt Mackay and his wife Ellen Christie, both born around 1840 in Scotland and moved to Hull where my great granfather benjamin was born in @ 1876.
