I am trying to find where my gt grandmother burried 5 of her 12 children. I know she and my gt, grandfather are burried in Greenwich cemetery and thought that would be the same for their children. Six children died. Deceased Online have just updated the Greenwich records and I have found one, she was 17. However I can't find any record for the other 5. the eldest of who was just 9 months. Even if the baby is put into someone elses' coffin surley there should be a record of some kind. Has anyone got any ideas as to where to look next? |

I have a friend whose baby was only a few days old when he died and the hospital arranged everything. Depending on the age of the children have you considered this possibility? |

Hi, yes I have the names of the babies and the dates of their deaths. As far as I know there aren't any other family graves for them to be burried in, I imagine, like their elder sister and their parents, they would be in public graves. I felt sure that I would have found them in one of Greenwichs cemeteries. Their names are: Sidney Lambourn age 1 d.o.d. 1886, William Edwin Lambourn d.o.d.5/11/1897, Percy Lambourn age 9 months d.o.d. 19.10.1890 ,Nellie Lambourn age 3 d.o.d. 1896 Maud Lambourn age 4 mths. 1896. As they all died in their home would the hospital have had any dealings with the arrangements? |
