Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 100 Send Message	Can anyone find Stout on the 1871 census? Stout was born in 1840 in Clitheroe, Lancashire. He was married to Mary Proctor in 1868 and they had a son, William H in 1869. I have put every combination I can think of without success. :-(

	Not sure what the note means as it says both single. 	I think the married bit on the banns is usually followed by the date the marriage actually took place

	Its down as THE Padiham when you try an address search . Have gone through all listed living in Guy Street but no Wood family I, afraid

	He did seem to move around a bit - Clitheroe, sabden, Padiham. I wonder if he could have been in the Preston area in 1871 as there are known problems for Preston in 1871
