Thanks ramblingRose just looked at the deaths on freebmd for yorkshire and even for under 5yrs old there are millions so think this is a non starter :-( was hoping there might have been an easier way.

That's a big gap between 1882/92 I'd start with that 10 year span.

Process of elimination really, if you look at 'Oliver' births on Freebmd during the years they were married and then look at deaths you should be able to work out the likely names,

hi i've just got the 1911 census page for
John Oliver b1858 and his wife Amelia Minnie Oliver b1861.
they have 3 children alive which i have details of
Mary b 1882
walter b1892
john b1897
but the census says 7 have died how do i find out who they were please. none are showing on previous census' they married july 1880 Prestwich lancs 3 living children b yorkshire.
