William Wells 1832 Farnham

William Wells is a bit of a mystery prior to the 1871 census. For several years I researched the wrong one (don't ask) but I'm now fairly sure that he was born at Farnham. According to his marr. cert. his father was named Thomas. This is all I have gleaned so far.
As well as his marr. cert. (Kensington), I have census copies dated, 1871, 1891, 1901, 1911. All taken at Kensington.
If anyone can help to fill in the gaps please let me know.

Andrew

Thanks for your input.
Please see the message from Catherine with the details for William's wedding in 1838. As you will note Thomas is described as 'deceased' so, unfortunately Thomas, the tailor, in 1841 is not the right one.
The marriage date may appear wrong when viewed with the census results but William and Sarah were unable to marry until her former husband, David King, had died. The whole household was known as 'Wells'.

Thank you both

Joan

The marriage took place in 1892 not 1838. The census I posted was 1841.....

Andrew. Sorry for the delay, been missing for a few days.

I think I may have more info. on the marr. cert. than I said. Thomas is also described as a labourer. OK he may have fallen on hard times but it's quite a fall from tailor to labourer. JEC
