i thought i would ask for some help with this as i cant find parents for elizabeth squires born 1866. i thought it was richard squires and elizabeth eley but i can find nothing to tie them together.

Where was Elizabeth Squires born?

Is it your tree on Ancestry? They have an Elizabeth Rose Squires marrying Albert Meluish, parents Richard and Elizabeth Ely. But no baptism/registered birth evidence.

I *think* (but not 100% sure) that the Henry Ely witness signature is the same as that on the 1885 marriage.

Just wondering whether she was daughter to both of them? I can't see a baptism as yet. The birth year and parents' marriage are maybe bit close for comfort?

I'd guess she was born before the marriage. Not seeing a birth for an Elizabeth Ely but it was pre-1874 so may not have been registered.

thankyou very much for all the help. a lot of the information i have was given by a relative but i could not find a connection to elizabeth ely and richard squires it was obviously there so thankyou.
