Find Ancestors

Does anybody have a James COATES whose parents were William COATES and Mary BOUCHER. My James was married in Australia to Mezeler JONES and they had quite a few children, like about 14. The first child was born in Australia in 1857 so he must have immigrated sometime before then.
Would appreciate any information on him as I have struck a brick wall.

Yeah that's them, I do have a copy of the marriage cert. and they got married 1908, when their last child was 27yrs old. He died with chronic bronchitis and had known that for his last 3 yrs alive. His heart finally gave up. Most of his children were registered under JONES but a couple of them changed their maiden names to COATES sometime down the track. The name Hezelor Jones there should read MEZELER.

I don't know if the James Coats b 1835 would be mine, his nationality is Scottish and the Coats doesn't have the 'e'. I know names can have a lot of variations but.

How do you know he was born in Kidderminster? Do you know what his father did for a living and was there any siblings to James?

On his death cert. it says he was born Kidderminster, England and that his father was William and mother Mary (Boucher). His father was a commercial traveller. James was a painter. On his death cert. it says he had lived in Victoria, Australia for 58 yrs so he could have been around 20yrs when he came Aust. except if he had lived in NSW before Victoria. Mezeler was a NSW born so he could have immigrated to Sydney then moved to Victoria after meeting her.
I don't have any siblings for James, this is what I've been hunting down, from James and his parents and before that. Can't seem to get anywhere from here back.

Thanks Reggie, I'm not sure if these are my grandparents or not, I have come across them before but the marriage date is different to what I have 13 Mar 1815.
But I guess it is possible.

What is the source of your 'info' about their marriage date? Have you anything to back it up?

Reggie, no I don't have anything to back up William and Mary's marriage date, somebody had passed some info onto me, from Genealogy.com. but it just gave me a little something to work on.
