If you haven’t used the NAA site before, go to the home page http://www.naa.gov.au/

Under the blue headed column ‘The Collection’ click on ‘Family History’
2nd paragraph -
You can view records online using RecordSearch or check original archival records in one of our Reading rooms.

Click on the underlined "RecordSearch"
Next page click on "Begin your search" (you don’t have to register). A new window opens

On the green tabs, select Name Search

Family name Osborne
Category of records – World War 1
Result gives number of matches 286.
Click "Refine this search result" which is under the ‘table’
Put Duncan as the Given name + search
2 results – click "Display"

Osborne Duncan is the second listed - click on the pile of pages to the right which will display the images in another window.

He may be listed on categories so it worth searching again

It might be worth searching the archives for both Dan and Tim. Duncan's WW1 records include a letter from Mona/Moira saying that one of them was 'going for the Navy' and needed details of their father's service.
