The enumerator has wrote Hannah's name wrong on the image,he has put Annable but it says son,so goodness knows what was in his mind when he was doing the census.

And whoever gave you the information that Zachariah 1855 married Hannah 1858 was or must have given you the wrong info.

Right! I think I know the problem.

I think I have added the same couple to my tree twice. You see, Zachariah Stephenson (born 1855) married Jane Stephenson (born 1868).

Basically, to resolve this, can I see the 1861 Census for Hannibal Stephenson (born 1858 in South Stockton/Thornaby, Yorkshire to James Stephenson and Mary).

Then I'll explain where I think the mistake came in.

1911 there is only the one I have already put on for you..with JANE as the mother and Zachariah as the father.

I think you need to send for the birth cert of Zachariah born 1900 to see who his mother is....

Also there is a big difference in ages between Zachariah born 1859 and Jane who is born 1867/8

That is a difernce of at least 6/7 yrs.

Peter.I have looked at all the Hannah Stephenson's born 1868 + and - 2 yrs and there is nothing for her with husband Zachariah born 1855.

I have also looked for a marriage betwen Zachariah Stephenson and a Hannah and nothing is coming to hit me in the face.

Even the birth year for Zachariah is 1859 not 1855..

Sorry Peter that is the only birth I can get for Zachariah.
So whoever did the transribing for the 1901 census you have got has estimated the year wrong.the above 1911 census is the only Zachariah Stephenson that is on FMP. and even the year it says is 1861 not either 1855 or 1859..
