Find Ancestors

I am looking to see if any one can find out some information about Honor O'Donnell born in iIeland on the 30th 1887 and died in scotland on the 22nd March 1969. She married a Hugh Gallagher in lreland i think as i cant find marriage lines. It would be good if anyone could help by finding out both of their parents and where they lived as it have reached to a hault.

I think hugh died in the USA but i dont know when he left. if anyone can find any details they had four children : dermot, thomas, ellen and theresa.

Thanks George but sadly the results came up with nothing. Do you know if their is any other website to try to research my some of my family members as about 1/4 of the family come from Ireland it is hard to trace them down.

Ryan do you have some idea of the years for children's birth? knowing when the first was born would help with dating the marriage

Im sorry but researching Irish records i dont know much at all.

Someone else may come along and give you more info than i can.

Ryan....Where did you get Honora's exact date of Birth...
Where were the children Born...?
What makes you think Hugh went to the US....?
Any supporting info will help.

Honor known as Hannahs birth and death certifate where handed down the gens. My papa before he died remember people saying his dad left to go to the USA. Theresa was the oldest she was born about 1916 I think and the youngest dermot was born in 1923 any information would help!

Are you certain she wasn't Hannah when she married? There is a Theresa born 1916 in Glenties?

Ryan...If you have Honors Birth cert details it will show her place of Birth and Fathers name...Are we looking at the Co.Mayo/Donegal by any chance..?

The O'Donnells and Gallaghers (Co Donegal) had generations of the families marrying each other...!!

Thanks i looked up records of co Donegal and their she was. It only says her dads name but not her mums name what do I do then ?

What does it say on Honors BC....?
When did you first find Honor in Scotland and whereabouts,,?
Looking for Gallaghers and O'Donnell's in Co Donegal is not a problem but to find the correct family without spending to much money on Certs you need to be certain the family/families definately originated in the Co Donegal..Honor's BC should give you that info.

The Gallaghers as I said earlier married into theO'Donnell's also into the Boyles Ryans and they in turn married into the O'Donnells...
If you are sure at this stage the family is the one posted by Rambling Rose and Gins then you would possibly need to be checking out the families in and around Mulnamin Beg and Mulnamin More areas .

Ryan, where there no names given for Honor / Hannah's parents on her death registration? In Scotland the names of the deceased's parents including the mother's maiden surname are recorded if the informant knew the details.
