When was your father born? His mother's maiden name should be on the birth index. That will make it easier to find their marriage. |

Ok. My problem is, my Dad died in 1991. He was born in July 1932.. When he was 5 years old he was taken into the care as his "mother" (Millicent) was destitute and unable to care for him. He was fostered, and as far as I know, never contacted his natrual parents again. The other problem is, he has never been able to trace his own birth certificate. Caused him a few problems during his lifetime. He never spoke about his young life. As far as I ever knew he was abandoned as a very small baby. The information that I have got came from the National Archives via the London County Council care and protection service. |

Ahhh, so it was your Father who was born in 1932 and not Millicent as stated in your opening post. |

Maybe Alexander and Millicent never married and your Father's birth was registered in Millicent's maiden name? |

You will need to give your father's full name to see if anyone can find him in the birth registers. |
