Gosh! Thanks for your rapid responses everyone. There's a few possibilities there for me to investigate. A few specific replies:

Patchem: Yes, I have looked through members trees but no luck there.

Gins: Henry Circuit is a strong possibility but one thing bothers me (forgive me I'm quite new to this): When I search marriages in GR for Henry Circuit 1909 I get 1B 673 (not 573). GR suggests spouse is Alice Archer or Edward Pembleton. No mention of Catherine Kay. But if I search for Catherine Kay I get 1B 573 with no mention of Henry Circuit. Not sure what is going on there.

I'm looking for information about Catherine Kay:

Born 1887 West Ham England - registered as Catherine Mclachlan Kay but she rarely used that middle name.

Father: John Kay born 1857 Glasgow?
Mother: Catherine Mclachlan born 1861 Glasgow?

last seen in West Ham in the 1901 England census but nothing from then on. She may have married but I can't find any marriage records for her. She may have emigrated. I know that in 1906 she had an illegitimate daughter (father unknown) whom she gave up for adoption.

I'd like to trace any descendents of Catherine Kay - children, nieces, nephews.

Any information would be very gratefully received.
