Benjamin was b. Ilkeston in 1801 and married his first wife Sarah Hardy in 1822.
I have all the details for Benjamin (census etc.)

Just can't pinpoint father William!

I have an ongoing problem as am looking for the father of Benjamin Tatham , details of his second marriage as follows.................
Parish Church Ilkeston Derbys.
27th. July 1850

Benjamin Tatham, Adult Age, Widower, Needlemaker, Kensington.
Father: William Tatham deceased, Frame Work Knitter.

Ann Hardy, Adult Age, Widow, Kensington.
Father: Thomas Scattergood deceased, Lace Maker.

Both Ben & Ann made their mark.
Witness: John Scattergood, Hannah Shepherd (made her mark)

That would rule out this William if still alive in 1851

Have tried many years to trace the correct William, seem to think Benjamins birth details were nonconformist.

FWK in Nottingham will be Frame Work Knitter.
