Looking back at your last posts, Gins pointed out that James Kerr (a tailor) and Jane had a son, Charles Kerr, who was baptised in 1834 - born Little Queen Street.

In May 1836 Charles Kerr died, aged 2 years 1 month. He died at 13, Little Queen Street.

In June 1834 James Kerr died (age 43) at 13, Little Queen Street. So, surely, this is your James Kerr.

The one who died in 1838 was living at 16, Lewisham Street.

Just to be absolutely certain, you could order the 1838 death certificate (as Reggie suggested back in April). This should show whether this James Kerr was a tailor or not. If he wasn't, you will know that this wasn't your James.

It may help if you can get to see an original copy of the marriage record of James and Jane. The witnesses names may prove useful. Also, as James was possibly about 38 when he married Jane, he may well have been married before. It would be interesting to see if he has bachelor or widower on the marriage record.

Have had another look at Marriage this morning Christina, he was a Bachelor, witnesses not easy to decipher!, looks like Amelia Gardner/Garner, C S de Moston?, really not sure, image on FMP.

(Westminster Archives on below link, might be useful)
