Seems like it Richard. George and Elizabeth Parker were not married as George is a batchelor when he did marry. Too many Elizabeth parker's around to know which one she is but it looks like the grandparents adopted George.

Liz thank you very much so my wifes family where originally neills, and George eventually took the name George Douglas Neill-Parker.

Thanks Liz, so we think by the info on 1901 record having George as grandson, it stands (rightly or wrongly) one of either Annie or Mary were the mother?....But only sure way would be birth cert.
