Once logged on to familysearch, scroll down to Browse by Location.
Click UK, then choose 1881census

You can search and view the 1881 census free at www.findmypast.co.uk

You do not need to be a member.

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

The link posted by Jonesey does not appear to work

You can't look specifically for census records on that site now......it's called progress

I'm guessing you had hoped to be able to select the 1881 census before inputting names etc..............as was formerly the case

Hello Ann I was just trying to find out where to get the 1881 census for future reference but I seem to be going round in circles

Ringrose from Countesthorpe Lord and Burley from Countesthorpe...Dixon Dawson Wood and Wilkinson from Caistor ,Starkey and Wood from Edendam. Hare from Horncastle.
