Hi Pauline, would really have been better just to add to that one which would have brought it to the top of the boards again. Just so no-one duplicates what's already been found (which wasn't a lot really!)

Below is a copy of part of a posting I made in June 2012. I am now uncertain where to search further as I have done all the Epping records, it is too early for the census, and just searching on Essex is really no help. There is one possible, with the date 1764, but it just states Essex. I have a 1997 copy of Essex Contiguous Parishes - so I will be searching those parishes listed, but other than that, I am rather stuck. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Thank you,
Pauline Denmark nee Clarke

"I am trying to take my Clarke line further back, from the birth of Samuel in 1762 (calculated from age at death). He was married to Ann (no surname) and they had four children in Epping, Essex. William 1794, Anne 1796, Matilda 1799, and Samuel 1802. Both the girls died as infants. Samuel, the father, died in 1803 in Epping, Essex.

i have not been able to find a birth record for Samuel nor a marriage for them, only burial records, again in Epping, Essex.

Samuel Junior married Mary Ann Gould, who was from Fransham, in Norfolk at Swaffham, Norfolk."
